Organic grass-fed lamb tallow is a natural fat derived from the suet of sheep that graze on organic pastures. This pure, nutrient-rich tallow is packed with essential fatty acids and vitamins A, D, E, and K, making it a highly effective skincare ingredient. It closely resembles the natural oils produced by human skin, allowing for superior absorption and moisturisation without clogging pores. The anti-inflammatory and healing properties of lamb tallow make it particularly beneficial for soothing irritated or sensitive skin and supporting the repair of damaged tissues. Its antioxidant content also protects against environmental stressors, helping to prevent premature aging.

Lamb tallow and beef tallow both offer excellent skincare benefits, but they differ in composition and suitability for various skin types. Lamb tallow is lighter and more closely mimics human sebum, making it especially effective for deep hydration and quick absorption without clogging pores. Its higher concentration of vitamins A, D, E, and K supports skin repair and rejuvenation, making it ideal for sensitive and dry skin. Beef tallow, on the other hand, is richer in stearic acid, providing a heavier, more protective barrier that is beneficial for very dry or weather-exposed skin. While both types of tallow are nourishing and natural, lamb tallow is often preferred for its compatibility with all skin types and its ability to promote a softer, more radiant complexion.

Our tallow skincare products may have a distinctive scent due to the natural, unrefined state of organic, grass-fed lamb tallow. We prioritise purity and avoid synthetic fragrances to ensure our products remain free from harmful chemicals. This natural aroma is a sign of the high-quality, nutrient-rich tallow we use.

In all products we don't use any Essential oils, as while natural, it can sometimes cause skin sensitivities or allergic reactions, particularly for those with delicate or reactive skin types. By omitting these oils, we ensure our face cream is gentle and suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and allergy-prone skin.

If you are concerned about the smell of the (unscented) Simple Cotton face cream which has a nut-like smell, our Vanilla and Lavender range both offer a sweet divine smell.

Our Tallow face cream may soften or become grainy due to temperature changes, which is normal during different seasons. It would be advised where possible to keep stored in a cool dry place and if you ever notice the cream is to runny, please leave in the fridge for at least 15 minutes to restore to the original consistency.

Our Skincare products have a shelf life of 6 months.

Tallow is a natural hard oil that will solidify at room temperatures but begins to liquidate under any heat, so keep in a cool dry place for a longer shelf life.

Our face creams may arrive feeling hard due to the natural consistency of pure tallow, which can solidify in cooler temperatures. This is a testament to our commitment to using only organic, grass-fed lamb tallow without synthetic additives or stabilizers. To soften the product, simply warm it between your hands. This will restore its smooth, creamy texture, making it easy to apply and enjoy its nourishing benefits.
