I’ve been using the Vanilla Cotton Face Cream from Black Sheep Skin

I’ve been using the Vanilla Cotton Face Cream from Black Sheep Skin, and it has quickly become a staple in my skincare routine. The texture is rich and creamy, but it melts beautifully into the skin without feeling heavy or greasy. My skin feels deeply moisturised, soft, and noticeably more hydrated throughout the day.

Another big plus for me is that it contains no essential oils, making it a great option for sensitive skin.

I love it! I think it is reasonably priced for what it is. I will always highly value natural products. The soap itself is the most soapiest soap I have ever used so that's a huge plus. Please do not change anything, I beg! Do not sell out or begin to raise prices just because "you think you can". I would say invest heavily into advertising/marketing to broaden your customer base. I think a good way to do that would be to add a some natural scent to mask the lamb fat smell (I know people will be put off by this but I am not). Concentrate on pointing out your enemies endless flaws when it comes to marketing strategies, I think that will be most effective ;)

This cream leaves my skin feeling so fresh and moisturised after using it. The scent is subtle and not strong at all considering it is Lamb Tallow. It is a nutty scent. A great alternative to mainstream skincare products. I love all the benefits it provides and would highly recommend this!

Love this cream! The lavender scent is subtle and not too overpowering and the texture of the cream is amazing. I have never tried creams that are whipped in texture but I would definitely never go back to anything else after trying these. Would definitely repurchase this as it has helped get rid of dry patches on my skin. So many properties in Lamb Tallow and Lavender for the skin!

The best face cream I have hands down used! I have been through 3 of these now and would not go back to any other creams after using Lamb Tallow. The benefits it provides are incredible! What is Lamb Tallow and what are the benefits?

Organic grass-fed lamb tallow is a natural fat derived from the suet of sheep that graze on organic pastures. This pure, nutrient-rich tallow is packed with essential fatty acids and vitamins A, D, E, and K, making it a highly effective skincare ingredient. It closely resembles the natural oils produced by human skin, allowing for superior absorption and moisturisation without clogging pores. The anti-inflammatory and healing properties of lamb tallow make it particularly beneficial for soothing irritated or sensitive skin and supporting the repair of damaged tissues. Its antioxidant content also protects against environmental stressors, helping to prevent premature ageing.

Will the Tallow face cream smell?

Our tallow skincare products may have a distinctive scent due to the natural, unrefined state of organic, grass-fed lamb tallow. We prioritise purity and avoid synthetic fragrances to ensure our products remain free from harmful chemicals. This natural aroma is a sign of the high-quality, nutrient-rich tallow we use.

In all products we don't use any Essential oils, as while natural, it can sometimes cause skin sensitivities or allergic reactions, particularly for those with delicate or reactive skin types. By omitting these oils, we ensure our face cream is gentle and suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and allergy-prone skin.

If you are concerned about the smell of the (unscented) Simple Cotton face cream which has a nut-like smell, our Vanilla and Lavender range both offer a sweet divine smell.

What is the difference between Lamb Tallow and Beef Tallow?

Both lamb and beef tallow are rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K, making them great for moisturising and nourishing the skin. They also help with skin repair and provide a natural protective barrier.

Lamb Tallow: Lighter, absorbs quickly, and is ideal for sensitive skin. It's gentler and has more omega-3 fatty acids, making it suitable for soothing irritation and promoting skin elasticity.

Beef Tallow: Thicker, greasier, and works well for very dry skin. It has a stronger scent and is better for deep moisture and protecting the skin's barrier.

What is the shelf life?

Our Skincare products have a shelf life of 6 months.

Tallow is a natural hard oil that will solidify at room temperatures but begins to liquidate under any heat, so keep in a cool dry place for a longer shelf life.
